Alcoholic hand and skin disinfectant
Field of application
Hygienic and surgical disinfection of hands, skin disinfection prior to simple injections and peripheral vascular punctures, skin disinfection prior to surgery, punctures of joints, disinfection of skin with high concentration of sebaceous glands; for cooling compresses.
Alcoholic, perfume-free disinfectant to be rubbed into the skin and hands. Septasol contains no preservatives or other additives which might have an irritating or sensitising effect on the skin. Dermatologically recommended for the disinfection of hands and skin for allergic prone and sensitive skin.
Type of preparationSeptasol is bactericidal (incl. MRSA), tuberculocidal, yeasticidal, virus inactivating incl. HBV/HIV/BVDV/HCV/Vaccinia/Rota/Influenza/Noro viruses.
Dosing instructions and type of applications
Hygienic hand disinfection:
Use on clean, dry hands.
Apply Septasol hand disinfectant to the hands.
Carefully rub hands together for 30 seconds. Ensure, the fingertips, thumbs, the areas between the
fingers and wrists are also thoroughly covered with Septasol Hand Disinfectant solution.
Make sure your hands stay wet during the entire exposure time of 30 seconds.
Let hands dry well.
Surgical hand disinfection:
Use on clean, dry hands.
Apply Septasol hand disinfectant to the hands.
Carefully rub hands together for 1.5 minutes. Ensure, the fingertips, thumbs, the areas between the
fingers and wrists are also thoroughly covered with Septasol Hand Disinfectant solution.
Make sure your hands stay wet during the entire exposure time of 1.5 minutes.
Let hands dry well.
Cooling compress:
Dilute the solution with equal parts water.
